IN THE CHANCERY COURT OF LINCOLN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI
IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF JAMES P CROSSLEY, DECEASED

JOHNATHAN SLATER, AND OVIA SLATER
AND UNKNOWN HEIRS
CAUSE NO. 22-0219
SUMMONS BY PUBLICATION
STATE OF MISSISSIPPI
COUNTY OF LINCOLN
TO: Any and all unknown persons claiming to be the heirs at law of James P. Crossley, Deceased, whose names and street addresses and post office addresses are unknown to Petitioner after diligent search and inquiry.
You have been made Defendants in the Petition filed in this Court by Sharolyn Slater, Administrator of the Estate of James P. Crossley, Deceased, Petitioner, seeking to determine the heirs at law of James P. Crossley, deceased, and requesting that the Court enter a Declaratory Judgment adjudicating Sharolyn Slater, James Slater, Jr., Johnathan Slater, and Ovia Slater are the only heirs at law of James P. Crossley.
You, and each of you, are summoned to appear and defend against the Petition to Determine Heirship filed against you in this action at 9:00 o’clock a.m. on, August 3rd, 2026 at the Lincoln County Chancery Courthouse in Brookhaven, Mississippi, and if you fail to appear and defend, a judgment may be entered against you for the things demanded in the Petition to Determine Heirship.
You are not required to file an answer or other response, but you may do so if you desire. If so, your answer or response should be filed with the Clerk of this Court by the date of the hearing set forth above. A copy of your answer or response should also be mailed or hand-delivered to Price D. Henley, Price D. Henley Law Firm PLLC, 141, Caldwell Drive Post Office Box 1260, Hazlehurst, Mississippi, 39083.
