PUBLIC NOTICE
OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR AGRICULTURAL LEASE
Notice is hereby given by the Lincoln County Board of Education that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 4:00 P.M. on the 16th of October, 2026, in the Office of the Superintendent of Education of the Lincoln County School District at 702 Saints Trail NW, Brookhaven, Mississippi, for (1) Agricultural Lease on the following Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Land situated in Lincoln County, Mississippi, to-wit:

Location: Wallace Drive, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629
(14 ACRES OF CULTIVATABLE LAND IN THE SE4 OF THE NW4 AND 3 ACRES OF CULTIVATABLE LAND IN THE SW4 OF THE NE4 THIS BEING 17 ACRES IN 16-05N-07E.)
The description of the above sixteenth section land is in the bid packets at the Lincoln County Central Office. The lease shall be for a term of ten (10) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours.
Bid proposal forms may be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Education. Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel. Only the annual rental shall be subject to bid. A certified check in the amount of the annual rental should be included with the bid when submitted.
Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of Lincoln County School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope A BID FOR AGRICULTURAL LEASE@ on the above Sixteenth Section Land.
The Board of Education of Lincoln County School District will meet at Loyd Star Attendance Center, 1880 Hwy 550 NW Brookhaven, MS 39601 on October 19, 2026 at 5:30 P.M. and sealed bid/bids received pursuant to this public notice will then and there be opened and read aloud.
The Board of Education of the Lincoln County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.
The aforesaid land is being offered for lease under the provisions of Section 29-3-81 of the Mississippi Code Annotated
