PUBLIC NOTICE

AMENDMENT TO THE LINCOLN COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to amend the County Solid Waste Management Plan. The city of Brookhaven is requesting to amend the plan to install a permanent air curtain incinerator for the burning of wood wastes at the Brookhaven Rubbish Site. This requires amending the county’s Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). The site is located at located at 463 County Farm Lane, Brookhaven, Mississippi 39601 in Section 21, Township 7 North, Range 8E.
The plan modification documents can be reviewed at the Lincoln County Governmental Complex at 301 South 1st Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
A public hearing to invite comments regarding the project is scheduled for 10:00AM on Monday, April 6th immediately after the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisor’s meeting. The meeting and hearing will be held in the Board Meeting Room at the Lincoln County Governmental Complex. Any interested parties are invited to attend. Comments will be accepted at this meeting, or can be mailed to:
Board of Supervisors, 301 South First Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
Mailed comments must be received by Thursday, April 3rd for consideration by the Board of Supervisors.
