This publication constitutes written notice, as required by §45-1-41 of the Mississippi Code, that the Department of Public Safety has received, recovered or seized the property listed below and has identified you as the current or last known owner or lienholder of said property:

The firearm above has been stored at Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in Byram, Mississippi. If you are the owner(s) or claim any ownership interest in the firearm described above and you wish to assert claim to and take possession of said firearm, you shall be required to appear with documentation supporting your ownership interest of the firearm to Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in Byram, Mississippi within 30 days of the date of first publication of this notice. If you are a felon, a family member may seize the weapon with the documentation supporting that ownership interest of the firearm listed above. Failure to appear at the above location with the appropriate documentation within 30 days of the date of first publication of this notice will result in the firearm being declared abandoned and said firearm shall be forfeited to the State of Mississippi to be disposed of by law afforded to the State of Mississippi by statute.
