MISSISSIPPI FORESTRY COMMISSION
INVITATION FOR BIDS
STUMPAGE FOR SALE ON 16-5N-9E, LINCOLN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI

Sealed bids will be received by the Lincoln County Board of Education at 702 Saints Trail NW, Brookhaven, MS 39601 up to and not later than 10:00a.m. August 28, 2026, for the right to purchase all timber designated for the purpose on Section 16, Township 5 North, Range 9 East, Lincoln County, Mississippi. The frontage road being Reeves Rd SE and includes intersection of Reeves Rd SE and Holmes Lane. This is an “operator select” mechanical thinning on a +358 acre unmarked pine stand. Bids offered will be per ton of pine pulpwood, pine chip-n-saw, pine sawtimber, and hardwood pulpwood, hardwood pallet, and hardwood sawtimber.
Before bids are submitted, full information concerning the material for sale, conditions of sale and submission of bids should be obtained from the Area Office, Mississippi Forestry Commission, 515 County Farm Ln NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601 telephone number (601) 940- 4076 or the Regional Office at (228) 234-1536. The Lincoln County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
